"Formicophilia"

Films: Kiss of the Tarantula (1976)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average tarantulas.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Good

Summary: How about "Willard", but there's a girl, and instead of rats, we have tarantulas? It's genius, I tell you!

History: Susan Bradley is an odd girl. She lives in a funeral home with her loving mortician father, has creepy uncle Walter look after her at more times than she wishes, and killed her slightly abusive mother with the help of her only friends: armies of killer tarantulas. Then one night, some rowdy teens broke in, trashed the place, and killed some of the spiders. Outraged, she seeks to kill them all.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: After the spiders kill most of the kids, Walter kills one of them to prove his allegiance to Susan, though he's really trying to get into her pants. Susan sees right through the façade, paralyzes him, and locks him up in an underground airtight coffin.

Powers/Abilities: Incredibly venomous.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Us arachnophobes can reassure ourselves that tarantula bites aren't venomous, but it's still pretty unnerving to have them all crawling on you.

Trivia: -This film is also known as "Death Kisses" and "Shudder".

-One of the major reasons tarantula bites aren't fatal is that their fangs are rather small, and can only barely penetrate the skin.

Uh, I'd get her out. She looks uncomfortable.

Such a sweet thing. And we mean that, this time.
Never has there been a contradiction in the middle of the poster like this! Can you see it?

Meeting the Mother-In-Law ended poorly here.
Yeah, even she knows she went overboard.

Clausterarachnophobia.
